In all the offices I have worked in or been into they have all had a use for a laminator. Lamination is the ideal way to protect and preserve documents, it involves putting a semi-rigid plastic coating over the paper or card upon which your document is printed. Once laminated your documents become tamper-proof, water-resistant, hygienic and wipe-cleam, inks are prevented from running and colours are enhanced.
Examples of use include: signs, price lists, safety notices, membership cards, maps, posters, luggage tags and menus. It is especially good for notices placed on exposed notice boards and notices that are intended to stay in place for a significant length of time, as the plastic coating is water proof and helps prevent curling and rips to the notice.
We saved money on exhibitions by having one available to us. A3 laminators are what you should choose if you laminate a lot you will eventually need something that can produce sheets larger than A4.
