So Many Superior Scissors at a Snip of the Price!

Scissors – The hand operated cutting instrument consisting of a pair of metal blades connected so that the sharpened edges slide against each other. Without trying to state the obvious, it is important that we consider all of our customers here at Office 365, and some may have been trapped in a time warp since the age of the dinosaurs and will need an explanation as to what these strange ‘scissors’ are.

We use scissors routinely everyday for cutting various thin materials including items such as paper, cardboard, string, thread, fabric, tin foil, thin plastic, cloth and more. We also use scissors to cut hair and also in cookery, however you won’t find those scissors here, so you may want to visit a pharmacy or cookware shop instead, but it was nice to see you, come again (for your stationery and office supplies)!

Just like with pens, there is nothing more annoying than not having a pair of scissors to hand when you need them. Working in a busy office or school environment often requires the use of scissors; however with so many people using them, can you ever find a pair when you want them? We recommend that each desk has their own pair to save time and arguments! Here at Office 365 we have some absolutely ridiculous offers on our 5 Star range of scissors. Take for example these 5 Star General Purpose Scissors pictured below. Featuring:

  • Features integral grooved centre grip to assist in the opening of bottles or jars
  • Suitable for cutting tougher materials
  • Complete with 2 year blade guarantee
  • 217mm
  • 92% Off!!!!
  • Now just £1.05!

We also have a variety of soft grip scissors which are also made by 5 Star and have a soft rubber grip handle designed for comfort and machine stainless steel blades. Alternatively we have a selection of school scissors which are available for as little as 29p a pair! These 5cm rule scissors have stainless steel blades and are available in a nice bright red or in assorted colours packs. All made by the reputable 5 Star, you can be sure of quality and a price suitable for every budget. These really are the cheapest prices on the net, and if you find them cheaper anywhere else, we’ll match it!

Choose Plastic Wallets for Your Filing Needs!

Plastic wallets are one of our most popular products selling out frequently, even after purchasing huge volumes of them in preparation. Our customers buy them in bulk for quite a varied selection of different uses around the home, office and around the school or education facility. It seems that selection and assortment of colour plays an important role, along with variety of size too in some cases. We’ve been curiously asking our customers who order by telephone what they’re intending on using their translucent plastic wallets for; this is of course an optional question and is merely down to curiosity and nosiness I suppose. The most common purposes are;

In the Office

  • Alphabetical/date filing
  • Client info storage
  • Employee records
  • Training packs
  • OHP transparencies storage
  • Disk storage

In the Home

  • Home filing
  • Storing important documents (birth certificates, medical cards, passports etc)
  • Storing personal letters
  • Storing school reports
  • Storing certificates of achievement
  • Storing recipes
  • Storing kids artwork
  • Storing wage slips

As plastic wallets come in so many different colours and sizes, it makes them ideal for filing, each colour representing a different category. They then stack neatly on a shelf for easy and quick access when needed and look very professional and organised. Our selection of wallets is available in many sizes including A3 plastic wallets, A4 plastic wallets, A5 plastic wallets, foolscap plastic wallets, and other sizes. There are a number of different packs available with a variety of pack quantities, colours and transparencies. You can choose translucent plastic wallets which offer some visibility of their contents, but not full clarification, or alternatively you can choose clear plastic wallets which of course offer complete observation of their contents. If you’d like some help choosing which ones are best for the task you have in mind, maybe we can help; just call us on 0870 766 1624.

The ‘Don’ of All Staplers!

Sometimes the average stapler just won’t do. When you’re daily activities in the workplace involve a great deal of stapling, you don’t want to be tied to the stapler all day. A manual stapler for constant daily use can only lead to bruised palms, cramp, fatigue, worn out staplers and of course irritability! This is why we recommend electric staplers for those who use staplers daily, for long periods of time. An electronic stapler basically does all the work for you so you don’t have to injure your hands whilst wasting your time and your company’s money and recourses.  However sometimes even an electronic stapler will not suffice as industrial stapling will literally destroy the standard electronic stapler. Some stapling applications involve the constant and consistent stapling of documents or packaging items throughout the entire day, every day which is quite some demand on a lil’ old stapler! We have just the thing for you in that case, feast your eyes below on our favourite electric stapler, THE DON of all staplers!

Our Rapid 106E Electronic Stapler is ideal for use in large offices, hotels, publishers and banks, but also in warehouse environments for duties such as packaging applications, blister packs and header card stapling. The featured stapler boards the following qualities:

  • Several machines can be connected by an opto-cable (not supplied) for multiple stapling in packaging applications
  • Slim design and quiet operation
  • Easy front loading with safety visor and automatic cut-out
  • Fully adjustable stapling force
  • Movable anvil for stapling and pinning
  • Staples 50 sheets of flat paper or 20 sheets when saddle stitching
  • Supplied with desk clamp, foot pedal and saddle stitch table for finishing brochures
  • Slim design with quiet operation
  • Black/White

On March 4th 2010 Esselte announced the completion of its acquisition of Isaberg Rapid, one of the world’s leading companies within the stapling business. A strategic addition to Esselte’s branded office products, Isaberg Rapid have allowed for the expansion of Esselte into the tools sector and professional retail markets. Part of Esselte’s strategy to strengthen their core categories, this acquisition expands the firm’s market and global reach. Good move Esselte!

Artline are an international brand made by the Japanese organization, Shachihata. In 1999 Shachihata obtained the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance System Certification for its marking pens and stamps and in 2000 was also awarded the ISO 14001 Certification for its environmental management system. Also, Artline no longer uses Xylene in most of their products and have instead substituted this traditional yet harmful solvent with an alcohol. The only difference that is obvious is the smell; where the Xylene has a strong scent, the alcohol has a more neutral one. The reason for this change is the increasing concern amongst some community members that the product could cause negative health effects. Artline also have an Eco Green range. These are recycled, general purpose markers made using a unique dry safe ink formula. These pens are made using at least 74% recycled material.

Home & Office Filing For Dummies!

We all have some sort of filing regime at home or at work, it can come in many forms, some better than other, but we all have some sort of ‘order’. There are the ‘organised mess’ folk who use what are called ‘paper heaps’ to ‘organise’ their paperwork. This form of filing is rather dishevelled looking and can be very difficult to work with when searching for individual documents, still, it’s easy to file! There are the hoarding type who have numerous filing cabinets storing decades of paperwork ‘just in case’ where really what they could use is a shredder! Then you have the opposite ruthless type who open it – read it – then bin it; no document is safe in these hands, although their offices are very tidy! Last but not least (and we should all be taking a leaf out of these people books) we have the organised folk who appreciate the benefit of an organised paperwork system. Now I know many of you will be thinking, “yeah, yeah, but I haven’t got the time”, or “I can’t be bothered”, but trust me, a little effort will surely reap rewards! If you have your filing in order, then you know where all your documents can be found. When you need to find a document and you need to find it quick, you’ll know exactly which file to pull out and where precisely you will find it. One of our favourite (and oldest) forms of filing is with manila wallets.

As they come in various colours and mostly in packs of assorted colours filing couldn’t be simpler. Each coloured wallet can represent a different category of filing. Choose categories such as 2009-2010, 2010-2011, or use them to file alphabetically, say one file for all the customers whose first initial begins with ‘A’, another for those beginning with ‘B’, or even a folder for A-G customers, then G-N and so on. At home you could have a separate folder for all your utility bills and important documents. However you decide to use them, they’re practically priceless, what’s more, they stack up neatly and nicely on a shelf too, ready for quick access.

Here at Office 365 we have various premium quality and value manila wallets from many reputable brands each made from heavyweight manila. Available in weights such as 250gsm, 285gsm, 290gsm, 300gsm, 315gsm and document capacities of 28mm 32mm, 38mm, 50mm and 600mm, our manila wallets are available in an assortment of colours too! Choose from red, buff, blue, yellow, pink, green, orange, lilac and more. Document wallets are great for many purposes, not just for your filing, they provide protection when storing your paper files, printouts and other documents and are made from card material which has been recycled too! So if you’d like to start a more organised filing system in your office, why not give them a try?!

Adaptable Paper Fastening!

When fastening together papers, commonly peoples first thought is to staple the paper or use paperclips as they are the quickest option. These solutions are quick and easy, however are useless if you’d like to bind paper together of a larger quantity or you’d like to be able to add and remove pages at a later date. There are plenty of options out there such as slide binding, comb binding, wire binding and so on, however the simplest preference is for Treasury Tags (aka India tags). These paper fasteners need to be of a certain length in order to hold your paper together securely. Made up of a piece of string, typically around 3 to 8 cm or 1 to 3 inches long, a treasury tag has a metal or plastic bar at each end which is the component responsible for securing the paper. This bar is threaded through holes in paper which have been created by a hole punch and normally start off being threaded through a front cover and finish through the back cover. Treasury tags come in various different lengths of string so that depending on the thickness of the stack of pages, the appropriate length treasury tag can be used. The bigger the stack of paper, the longer the string will need to be, just as the fewer the sheets of paper, the shorter the string will need to be. Use this guide as an estimate;

The featured treasury tags are made by our 5 Star brand and consist of green cord with metal end bars. An economical form of filing, treasury tags normally come in boxes of approximately 100 and have very small price tags! In fact, our range is available with at least 64% off! Remember though people, before punching your holes in your paper, make sure that they are at the left hand side and that they are at least an inch into the paper both from the top and the left. Forgetting this can result in rips and tears which would be a shame, and a pain!

Color Copy’s Compassionate Compatible Paper!

Practical, perfect white paper,

Is peachy for practicing poems,

Pick up a page and preach with your pen,

Part with your pride for the power!

We use paper everyday unknowingly! That may sound strange, but do we ever realise what we’re doing when we’re scribbling down notes, doodling and taking messages? The act of grabbing a scrap piece or sheet of paper is almost unconscious; we can certainly say we take paper for granted! It important however to appreciate its source; we destroy many, many trees every day so that we can have the paper we use without even thinking about it! It’s also quite surprising how big an impact and how much of an impression the quality of paper can have. Thinner, budget paper is all well and good for everyday printing, notes, messages and your kids art, but when you’re presenting an important document, a legal document, an invitation or a letter, quality is extremely important! It’s always better in these instances to go for a thicker option, say 90gsm paper, giving a more firm, smooth and white finish.

Our Color Copy A4 White Copier Paper featured to the right, fits the entire bill! Not only does this paper boast premium quality and super smooth texture, but it’s also environmentally friendly too!

Pritt’s Perfect Products!

When you think of Glue, what brand springs to mind? No, this isn’t telepathy or some Derren Brown trick, its history, excellent branding and quality of product. That’s right, it’s Pritt…Just like vacuum equals Hoover, sticky tack equals Blu-Tac, sticky tape equals Sellotape, search engine equals Google, walking frame equals Zimmer, bubbly hot tub equals Jacuzzi, permanent marker equals Sharpie, ballpoint pen equals Biro, correction fluid equals Tipp-Ex; these are all example of generic trademarks earned through the products sheer excellence and user friendliness; these are all household names.

Pritt are no exception to this and have invented some truly remarkable solutions to our gluing and sticking adhesive demands. First invented in 1969, the Pritt Glue Stick took the world by storm! In fact, not only is Pritt a worldwide brand, but in March 2001, Pritt was literally launched as a “Universe-wide” brand! On March 17th 2001, and after rigorous daily use under zero-gravity and other extreme conditions of space, Pritt was officially awarded the exclusive seal of “Space Proof Quality”! However it’s not just the Pritt Stick which holds our hearts here at Office 365, we’ve rather fallen for the Pritt Glue-It too!

Take a look to the right and feast your eyes upon our Pritt Glue-It Roller Adhesive which boasts some pretty unbelievable qualities for simple ‘pencil case’ glue.

  • New compact refillable roller system which fits neatly in the hand, with built-in retractable nib protector
  • Available with permanent or re-stick-able cartridge
  • Improved action for precision gluing
  • (Link provided is for re-stick-able option)
  • Highly precise and very convenient to apply
  • Very clean: no mess, no smearing or running, a dry up is impossible
  • Refillable – the economical solution for frequent users
  • Enjoy 30% Off! – Now just £2.98!

Pritt (brought to us by the Henkel Corporation) celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2004, being an environmental and economic success with more than one billion units sold. Henkel obviously places particularly high priority on its ecological compatibility and product safety, especially as it is often used by children. Solvent-free, PVC-free and certified to comply with stringent EU child safety legislation, Pritt glue is the friendliest there is.
