Filing Cabinets

With so many different types of filing cabinets on the market, how can you be sure you are choosing the best one?Filing Cabinet

We have an excellent selection of Filing cabinets, and with so many you are able to find one to suit you!

They are avaliable as single drawer filing cabinets, two drawer filing cabinets, three drawer filing cabinets, four drawer filing cabinets and also 5 or more drawer filing cabinets!

Some times it is confusing with the different wording used in the product descriptions - I have explained some of the terms below.

Anti-tilt: This is a device which stops more than one drawer or pull-out frame opening at a time. It avoids the cabinet becoming overbalanced and falling onto a user.

Multidrawer: These are versatile drawer units with many drawers for different shortage needs.

Tambours: These are cupboards with shutter style doors which take up less space and provides a more effective method of storing than conventional filing cabinets.

Fittings: These are extras which you can use to cleverly personalise how your steel filing cabinets work. These can include pull-out shelves, pigeon-hole units and lateral filing rails.

Insert Trays: These are small plastic trays which fit into the multidrawer units and split the draw into many smaller sections for storage of smaller items.

Compressor Plate: This is an optional steel plate which will fit into filing cabinets and keeps partly filled filing cabinets tidy by pressing the files together.

If you can not find a colour which you would like your filing cabinet to be, please contact us and we shall try and source it for you. For more information on available colours, please click here.

If you would prefer a more natural look in your office, we also have a range of wooden filing cabinets - take a look at the links above!

CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) Projectors.

A CRT projector uses a small, high brightness CRT (picture tube) as the image generating element. The image is then focused and enlarged onto a screen using a lens in front of them. The earlier CRT projectors used to be monochrome, nowadays in a modern CRT projector you can find 3 different colour tubes blue, red and green along with their own lens to display the image or data on a screen.

The red, blue and green portions of the incoming video signal are processed and sent to the respective CRTs whose images are focused by their lenses to achieve the overall picture on the screen. These types of projectors are ideal for use in homes; businesses; educational centres etc. with proper tube size, video processing and lens combination, and an lcd projector can produce excellent displays.

The most common resolutions for a CRT projector are 800 × 600 and 1024×768 pixels. The various advantages and disadvantages of this type of projectors are:
Advantages: Can achieve very good resolution, brightness and picture size. Has a long tube life or projection life (22,000 hours).

Disadvantages: It’s large in size, bulky, non portable, more expensive than other projectors and has low maximum brightness level.

So many envelopes! Which one do you need?

There are so many different types of envelopes currently on the market, sometimes
it’s hard to find the exact one you need. They are available in lots of different
sizes, styles, thicknesses, materials, colours and finishes.

The most popular envelope sizes are C6, C5, C4 and DL.Hopefully my little diagrams
will shed some light on the sometimes confusing task of finding the correct envelopes
for your needs.

I have also shown a table of the different sized envelopes available with the measurements
in Metric (mm) and Imperial (Inches). If you would like to view the different sizes
of paper available, you can click here to view my blog about that.

LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) Projectors

An LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) projector is a type of video projector used for displaying video, image or computer data on a screen or other flat screen surface. LCD projectors contain three separate LCD glass panels, one for red, green, and blue components of the image signal being transferred to the projector. As the light passes through the LCD panels, individual pixels can be opened to allow light to pass or closed to block the light. This activity modulates the light and produces the image that is projected onto the screen . Some advantages and disadvantages of this type of projectors are:

Advantages – generally more light efficient, lcd projectors tend to produce more saturated colours.

Disadvantages - Generally more bulky, as there are more internal components. If it fails it’s very expensive to replace.

LCD projectors are now becoming the defacto standard type of projector on the market today.
